Ma Crocker is a very mean one eyed lady in charge of the kelpers.Her father and her husband (who died five years ago) used to lead the kelpers.Ma Crocker is to avenge her father because a man named the Katipo killed him.

The vicar is approximately 70 he lived on the peninsula during the raids. He only has a small congregation as most people have moved to the main lands or the cemetery.
